The 23rd of September marks the day that Nirvana’sIn Utero is rereleased to mark the 20th anniversary of its original release. Remastered and expanded, the original album will be packaged with b-sides, unheard demos and the ‘Live and Loud’ concert from December 13th 1993 and various other bits and bobs depending on which version it is you wish to buy.
I’m intrigued by this as I’ve never been a great fan of Nirvana. Smells Like Teen Spirit, as much as I can appreciate it, unfortunately has become one of those songs that I’ve heard a few times too often.
I think this is an apt time to reassess their final album and their legacy. Come September I may have had a change of mind.
